Brieana and Andre 7.2.16 {Alerin Barn Wedding, Vermont}

When Brieana and Andre first contacted me I knew their wedding day would be one filled with an abundance of joy and love. When the day arrived however, I don’t think I could have anticipated how much joy and love it would actually be filled with. Two families, so very happy to see these two sweet souls unite, also so happy to celebrate with each other. I don’t recall having ever seen so much hugging at any one wedding. This one though, chock full of good, real-squeezing, heartfelt hugs {especially from the groom himself}.

Everything was perfect, weather, setting, mood, details, people, music, food, desserts, dances – it was amazing. The ceremony took place at Our Lady of the Snows in Franconia, New Hampshire, followed by the reception at the Alerin Barn in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. There were so many DIY touches, good old New Hampshire maple syrup {made by the bride’s family}, and a dessert table one can only dream about {all desserts were made by the Brieana’s cousin, who was also a bridesmaid, Alexis, the owner of Plum Cakery in Missoula, MT}.

Brieana and Andre call Connecticut home now so I definitely didn’t avoid chatting about that with Andre’s side of the family while hitting up the buffet next to a few of them {a special connection, that’s my state of origin}. Both families were so much fun to be around, they were kind and considerate to each other as well as myself and Renee {one of my two fabulous sisters-in-law who accompanied me as my second shooter for the day, and we always have the most fun working together}.

Just before my departure Brieana and Andre welcomed Brieana’s parents onto the dance floor for a special anniversary dance – that’s right, they now will share their anniversary with the newlyweds.

I can’t thank Brieana and Andre enough for choosing me to document such a special day in their lives.
