Judith and Dave | Apple Hill Inn, Vermont Wedding 6.25.16

I always start off with the hopes that I can adequately express the feel of the day in both my words and photographs when I blog a wedding. As cliche as it sounds, every wedding really is special. I connect to them all in different ways and at every wedding, I feel like I am among friends and family of my own. Such is the case with Judith and Dave’s wedding, no matter that I didn’t understand much of what was being said around me. Judith is originally from Germany, so there was a lot of German being spoken (none of which I understood). The officiant who married them (and also married Dave’s mother and stepfather) is from France, as were many of the guests. Thanks to my two years of middle school French and one year of high school French I was able to understand some bits and pieces. I desperately wanted to test out my skills, but didn’t for fear of offending someone. It didn’t matter that there were a few languages being spoken that I was not familiar with, I felt welcomed by everyone. It was so painfully obvious that this group of people didn’t so much see themselves as members of different cultures or countries, but as a collected bunch of people who support Judith and Dave. There were so many special moments it was hard to choose what to share in this blog post (and I assure you there are so many more, but this was already a lengthy share!). From the very special ceremony to the touching slideshow that had even my eyes watering (regardless of the fact that I had only ever met Judith and Dave once before their wedding at a consultation) there was never a dull moment during the day. Here are just a few images that hopefully share some of that story. signJDB (15 of 976)JDB (43 of 976)pre1dressringsshoespeekmaids1maids2jmdressprepJDB (74 of 976)judJDB (72 of 976)buttonscerdetJDB (9 of 976)cerdets2cerdets3proseprose2JDB (184 of 976)JDB (185 of 976)cer1cer2cer3JDB (252 of 976)JDB (215 of 976)JDB (233 of 976)bestiesJDB (236 of 976)cer5parentsringring2JDB (285 of 976)JDB (290 of 976)JDB (294 of 976)JDB (297 of 976)JDB (371 of 976)JDB (380 of 976)JDB (383 of 976)JDB (385 of 976)JDB (389 of 976)JDB (390 of 976)JDB (393 of 976)JDB (400 of 976)portsports2ports3ports4recdetrecdets2recdets7recdets8recdets3recdets6recdets4recdets9recdets10JDB (484 of 976)toastsJDB (648 of 976)dancedance2JDB (834 of 976)JDB (844 of 976)JDB (846 of 976)JDB (852 of 976)JDB (855 of 976)JDB (949 of 976)JDB (954 of 976)JDB (970 of 976)JDB (972 of 976)JDB (975 of 976)JDB (976 of 976)
